Hi! My name is Lorna Wood and I am a 2021 graduate of Lipscomb University where I received my B.F.A. in Animation. 

 

I’m currently a digital artist and am also working on personal projects to build my portfolio. With my degree, I have been pursuing jobs in visual development and CG modeling at animation studios and video game companies. As well as graphic design. But I am also well versed in 2D animation and Illustration

 

I've known I've wanted to do something artistic with my life since I was very young but I first got into animation and character design when I was in high school. Frozen was actually the first movie to push me towards drawing my favorite animated characters and discovering my love for animation. It's actually pretty ironic that I decided to major in it. I can remember a distinct moment in my childhood when I was watching a behind the scenes cut of Kung Fu Panda and thinking to myself, "That looks so difficult. I would never EVER want to do that." Yet here I am. In fact that's how lots of things in my life have happened. I've observed activities from a distance thinking that could never be me until that very thing becomes a major part of who I am.

As of now I've started my own art business and have been going to events to vend since late 2024. I'm also still hoping to work in Visual Development, 3D Modeling, or 2D Animation in the industry. I hope you enjoy looking at the art in those categories on my site.
