Hi! My name is Lorna Wood and I'm a digital artist/illustrator and the creator of Lorose Art. What once was just a fun insta page where I posted my art in high school has now turned into a small art business that takes me to different comic and anime conventions across Tennessee to share my work.

My work comes from the uncontrollably need to express my love for animated films and tv shows. Shows and movies that have impacted my life since childhood and shapes me into the person I am today. I grew up on Bratz and Barbie Movies, Fairy Tail, and of course Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks. Teen Titans was my most beloved TV show growing up. And I'm still a diehard Starfire/Robin shipper. These cornerstone pieces of media turned me into the artist I am today. My original work is not only inspired by those pieces of art but also my love of fashion, fairies, the occult, doll collecting, surrealism, body positivity, cultural diversity, and music.

I got to wear I am now in my art journey through obsessive drawing as a child, great, encouraging teachers in high-school, and 4 years studying animation to achieve my degree in college. There I got to broaden my skills and study specific new ways to use my artistic capabilities in character design, prop design, background design, color design, 3D Modeling, and 2D and 3D Animation.

 

​I'm glad to have these skills that I'll continue to use on upcoming projects, my business or potentially at animation studios that hire me. Although my business has taken a forefront in my career currently, I'd still love to get to be a part of the industry that created so much of what inspires me to be who I am.
